Bagels, bagels, and more bagels!
If you've been missing a taste of home when it comes to bagels, there's a place in the outer suburbs of Tokyo where you can get your fix - it goes by the name of Hoop Bagel and you can find them in Fussa (just across from Yokota Air Base). Their range of bagels is large - they have everything from standard options to things like sun dried tomato or blueberry cream cheese (my fave!). As well, they usually implement seasonal offerings - right now they have a pumpkin offering just in time for the Halloween season. You can get your bagels in sets - you get some great value there and my friends used to enjoy going for breakfast and getting our choice of bagel with soup, salad and a coffee (I'm not sure why the breakfast sets come with soup and salad but it seems to be quite the Japanese thing!). Tasty, reasonably priced, and they even accept US dollars if you've got those on you instead of yen!
