Matsue Excel Tokyu Hotel

Good, reasonably priced business hotel across from Matsue Station

The Matsue Excel Hotel is situated right across the street from the Matsue Train Station, and around the corner from the Willer Express overnight bus drop off point. It makes for a convenient spot to stay if you’re transiting through either of those locations. The hotel itself is better in my opinion than a standard business hotel. I traveled by myself and had a single room but the bed was large and the room still had a work desk and the bathroom was a bit larger than normal. Obviously it wasn’t enormous or anything, but it was a nice surprise that it had a little more space. One thing I loved was that there were plenty of powerpoints everywhere - in logical spots as well like next to the bed! Big fan of that. Front desk staff spoke perfect English and were very helpful. There is a restaurant on site but there are also eateries across the street at the station that probably provide better value for money.
