Authentic Italian in one of the most unlikely locations

Un Quinto is an Italian Restaurant located in a tiny building across the road from Yokota Air Base. The building it's housed in was apparently military housing back in the day, so it's nothing glamorous in terms of surroundings - but the charm and the food is what knocks this place out of the park. The inside of the building is fascinating - the walls are etched with writing and messages in sharpie markers (it's fun to have a read through of where all the visiting patrons have been from!) and the food is about as authentic as it gets. They do have some more "Japanese" inspired tastes on the menu too, including pasta with roe that pops up on the menu sometimes, but plenty of traditional Italian too. If you have the chance to go, the lunch specials are great value and significantly cheaper than what you'll pay at dinner time.
