Tobu World Square

A fun spot to visit when checking out other sights in Nikko

We visited Nikko to primarily check out the famous Toshogu Shrine - but we found this fun little gem along the way. If you love to travel but your budget won't allow you to do it as much as you'd like, this is a great chance to experience some of the world's wonders - all in miniature form! The admission cost might seem lofty (2800 yen for adults on the day, or 2500 yen if you pre-purchase a ticket) but when my husband and I visited we did think it was worth it, especially when you see the level of detail that these creations go into. The park is divided into different zones - these are Japan, Modern Japan, Egypt, Europe, Asia and America. Having been to a number of locations in the US and throughout Japan and Asia, it was awesome seeing the mini versions of things I'd seen in real life. It was also fun getting to see minis of places I'd never been to before. You can see my husband hamming it up with the Leaning Tower of Pisa in the picture!
