Exhibition space with views and chill-out spots
This exhibition space, wrapped in a spiral of native plants has both huge and intimate spots. The cavernous entrance lobby has stairs and escalators that carry you a 100-tatami surface you can lounge on. Also floating over the lobby are various "labs" for small-scale events. Visitors are free to lounge and socialize in these spaces. There is a cafe on the 3rd floor and a restaurant on the 6th. Keep going up. The Kengo Kuma Group architects incorporate relaxing spaces - a footbath and a reflecting pool with views, a farm, and even a small shrine. If you don't go for the exhibitions, go on a quiet weekday to chill out.
