    An oasis in the city

When my husband was working right in the heart of Tokyo, Hibiya Park was one of our favorite spots to meet up and have some lunch. It's a beautiful sprawling park with some very pleasant grounds to walk around - including several cherry trees that show their stuff in sakura season. The park also has a large fountain which is contrasted by all the towering office buildings that can be seen outside the park grounds. As well as the cherry blossoms, the park also has loads of beautiful blooms depending on what's in season - their tulip displays are some of my favorites. It's also a pretty spot to check out the koyo, or changing leaves of autumn. A pleasant spot for a picnic or just a spot to stroll around and recharge the batteries before returning into work after lunch!
