Amazing Coffee in a Great Wine Store

Finding a great wine store in Japan can sometimes prove to be very difficult, certain chains like Yamaya or Aeon Liquor can have some locations with great wine selections but finding one can be very difficult and even when you get to one of those shops you'll have no idea if they have a great selection or if they were more focused on other things. Takamura's wine section is about wine. While there is a good amount of cheap wines (that are actually drinkable), there's a huge amount of mud-range and high end wines. You can even sit and enjoy glasses of some of the more expensive wines in the front part of the store. However, there is another side to Takamura: awesome coffee. Takamura has long been one of my favorite cafes in Osaka. For many years, Takamura's been secretly whipping up amazing espresso with only those who have sought it out ever knowing. They often offer a choice as far as espresso goes, and roast a ton of amazing beans. They offer a ton of special coffee bean varieties, including many Cup of Excellence winners. Of course if you're going to buy any prestigious beans, there will be a premium to pay, and the location is a bit out of the way, but it's definitely worth going to if you love coffee and/or wine.
