Okutadami Recreation City Park

Pleasant park but seasonal flowers are weather dependent

We visited the Okutadami Recreation City Park to check out the seasonal shibazakura flowers planted there. Unfortunately on the day we went, it was after an extremely (and unseasonally!) warm spring day here - so the flowers were looking quite wilted and definitely not at their best. Admission to the Shibazakura Festival held here was 200 yen, but included in that price was a commemorative postcard and also your own shibazakura plant to take home and plant. Not a bad deal when you think about it that way, so I don't think it was bad value. Public toilet facilities are available at the site, and there were several vans selling food and snacks - I'm unsure if this is an occurrence every weekend or just when there are specific events on, so if you're headed there just be aware that food and drink availability isn't a guarantee.
