Bonten Ramen - ぼんてんラーメン

Beef ramen?! Chicken ramen?! Yes, finally!

Bonten Ramen is located on the Sendai Bypass in Natori. While it is located a bit far from downtown Sendai, it's the only place that I have found with beef ramen. Chicken ramen is also served there and although quite rare it can occasionally be found at other places. The store has odd hours and closes quite early but it is definitely worth checking out! The store is open from 7-10 am for breakfast ramen and open again for lunch at 11 and closes again at 3 pm. Prices start only 500 yen so it's quite cheap for the quality. Although adding topping and such will bring the price up to your average ramen shop. If you are looking for some delicious ramen that is different from the standard soy sauce, miso, and tonkotsu, you have to check this place out. The beef ramen comes in two types, standard and one with extra beef on top. Just adding the beef does change the price by about 300 yen but it adds an amazing to the ramen. They also serve curry and beef over rice but we didn't get a chance to try it because the ramen was so delicious we filled up on it too quickly. The shop is small so if you go on the weekend be prepared to wait a bit. It's well worth the wait though!!
