Incredibly tasty and fresh Italian in a surprising spot
I never expected that some of the best Italian food I would find would be in Japan, let alone in the outer suburbs of Tokyo - but there's a great spot to visit called 3.14 that is worth a look if you're in the area. They're about a 5 minute drive from the main gate at Yokota Air Base (there's a parking garage right by there, they will validate your parking for a certain amount of time once you pay for your meal). A lot of the fresh veggies they use are grown on the premises - so if you're getting a salad or enjoying some pasta that might have zucchini or your pizza that has basil leaves on it, it's a high possibility that they grew it on site. Their salads are incredible but I'd go back again and again for their pizza - perfectly chewy, wood fired goodness! They change a lot of their menu items seasonally so you know you're getting the freshest of the fresh. Lunch specials are great value here too - so check those out!
