Easy to navigate regional airport
Niigata Regional Airport looks after both domestic and international flights - domestically they fly to Chitose, Nagoya, Narita, Osaka, Fukuoka and Okinawa. Internationally they fly to Seoul, Shanghai, Harbin, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok and Taipei. Parking is paid but is reasonably priced and situated directly across from the terminal itself, so you can go from your car to checking in within minutes. The interior is spacious and modern, with stores and “photo opportunity” displays throughout. Souvenirs inside are plentiful and check-in lines didn’t accumulate at all because things move so promptly.
