Possibly the best soft cream ever in an expat heartland

Melting in the Mouth is a little ice cream store on the back streets of Hiroo in Tokyo - which is a bit of an expat hub as it is. The store also serves up coffee, hot dogs and some tasty donuts, but it's really the ice cream that gets me there time and time again. You'd be surprised at just how photogenic a simple vanilla ice cream cone can be - but they manage to do that here. It's super smooth and creamy, too - and best of all their ice cream is organic (so I always try and justify to myself that it's a healthy thing...right?) The store is small and trendy (think unfinished concrete walls and bar stool bench type seating) but it is a popular spot, so getting a seat isn't always an easy task. In saying that, it's simple enough to get your ice cream or coffee as a to-go order.
