    Cat Café Temari no Ouchi

The cat café Temari no Ouchi (てまりのおうち) is a little bit different to the cat cafés I usually know. Here it's not just a room with many cats where you can have a drink - you can dive into a little wonderland, since some of the scenery is reminding one of movies of Studio Ghibli. Already from outside, Temari no Ouchi has a very cute design. On the ground you can find cat's foot prints and the door displays cats. Inside it gets even better. Main attraction might be the little house in which guests even can sit. But many other seats are available, too, with a little forest look around. There are around 20 cats which can climb all around the café. For sure, there are also toys to play with the cats. From time to time staff play cames with the cat or give them food. Also, cats have many places to hide if they don't want to be touched by custumers anymore. Different to normal cat cafés there is no time limit at Temari no Ouchi. You just pay one entry fee (weekdays: ¥ 1,200; weekend & holidays: ¥ 1,600, after 7 pm: ¥ 700) and you can stay as long as you want. For sure, this can lead to long waiting times outside the café. The food menue is pretty big and includes cold and warm drinks, sweet dishes but also dishes like curry and fish & chips. However, you have to take care that the cats doesn't steal your food! It is opened every day from 10 am to 9 pm. From Kichijoji station you need to walk around 10 minutes. The café also includes free wifi.
