Camera and darkroom supplies
Whereas abroad, darkroom photography is pretty easy to get into. You can just set up in your bathroom, buy some chemicals, and you're good to go. In Japan, though, there are only a few places you can rent to develop if you want to develop your color film. Chemicals required to develop colored film are banned in Japan, so there's no way you can do it at home. However, black and white enthusiasts have it a bit easier. If you want to develop your black and white photos to the highest level of quality, be sure to check out National Photo's selection. They have all the chemicals you need, as well as other developing supplies, from paper to trays. Their selection is vast and specialized, so you'll likely find what you need. The prices aren't much more expensive than buying them at a Yodobashi Camera, etc, despite its premium location. Plus, no other store that I've been to has had such a wide array of items in one location, so that's worth paying a bit extra for too.
