The description

This product is a Nuts & Caramel Cheesecake, and it's a limited time offering available from Starbucks stores across Japan. It's priced at 510 yen including tax.

The good

Starbucks does an excellent job with their seasonal offerings, and this new Nuts & Caramel Cheesecake is a very festive-feeling dessert. There's quite a bit going on with it too! You've got the cheesecake filling which also contains caramel, alongside nuts, raisins, and a spiced crumble topping. There's a lovely warmth and depth of flavor to it, and I guess to me it just felt festive? I'm sure it was the spices used, but super delish overall. I'd say price-wise it's not bad -- around where I would have expected it to be. Not a budget buy, by by Starbucks standards it's pretty representative of their dessert pricing.

The not so good

I feel that both nuts and raisins are polarizing ingredients -- they're very much "love 'em or hate 'em" with not a lot of wiggle room in between. If you're not a fan of either one, I wouldn't recommend this item to you. If you do find yourself really enjoying it, however, it's not going to be around forever. Not sure exactly how long they'll be selling it for, my guess is maybe a couple of weeks or so. Just keep that in mind if it's a must-try item for you. Overall I loved this, but it played to flavors I really enjoy. Give it a try if it sounds appealing to you.
