Beautiful Chrysanthemums at Bishamondo
I love Japan’s distinct seasons and that no matter the time of year, there seems to be something growing or blooming. My small town has an annual chrysanthemum festival so today I went to check it out - I never knew before today that Japan’s National flower is actually the chrysanthemum! I guess I had always assumed that it would be something to do with Sakura instead.
Anyone else love getting to see the intricacies of flowers up close? It always reminds me of just how incredible nature is.
The festival is located at the Bishamondo Temple which is about a 5 minute walk from Urasa Station. The temple itself is always impressive to me - it’s one of the more unique ones I’ve seen - and the beautiful flowers on display make it even more worthwhile to visit if you’re in the area.
Are there any chrysanthemum events happening in your part of Japan?

Me too. No idea about the national flower being the chrysanthemum. Always nice to have these local festivals going on, but I'm not aware of anything chrysanthemum-based here in Urayasu.

@Tomuu you've got Disneyland and DisneySea out there...who needs chrysanthemums at that point!
