Places to get your festive feels in Niigata: Niigata Marinepia Aquarium

The Niigata Marinepia Aquarium has been a favorite destination for my family for years now. We had annual passes when my kids were a bit younger (highly recommend it if you'd go regularly ‐ it's a great Christmas present!) and while we don't have those anymore it's still somewhere we head to a couple of times a year.

They do a lovely job of decorating for Christmas, and while they don't have illuminations as such, the incredible jellyfish displays give off a bit of that feeling! They're mesmerizing and one of my favorite parts of the venue here.

It's probably not a place that would be your first thought when you consider festive feeling spots, but it does give me the warm and fuzzy feels. Lots of good memories here throughout the years probably helps encourage that sentiment!
