The good
As a lover of all things chocolate mint, I'm always happy when I start seeing those items pop up in stores as we roll into summer. Tully's have got an early start on the season with their chocolate mint shake, which is one of two shakes they have on their limited-time menu right now (the other is a cookies and cream one which is also delish!). This one has a really nice mint flavor (not too overpowering but not too weak), and I like the bits of chocolate throughout. There's also whipped cream and extra chocolate shavings on top, which make it feel a bit fancier! Overall, quite a good start to choc-mint season! :)
The not so good
A couple of downsides, the first being the price. 750 yen is expensive for a drink. In previous years I've seen convenience stores release chocolate mint fraps that are about half the price of this one, so I hope they do the same this year so I can get my fix at a more reasonable price point. Also, the greenish color is not as prominent in person as it is in the advertising posters for this drink. That doesn't bother me at all (I guess it feels less artificial when it's not super green!) but for expectation management purposes I'd recommend just keeping that in mind. Happy drinking! :)
