Healthy winter habits in Japan: Radio Taiso

Something I struggle with quite a bit here in the winter months is getting enough movement in. When the weather is pleasant outside it's easy enough to go walking or cycling, but with the amount of snow we get out here in winter it's not always practical to do so.


Enter the world of radio taiso. My husband and I have been doing these in the mornings for a while now, because they're low impact, super easy to follow, and something that only takes a few minutes, which makes it a realistic routine even on busy days. There are a whole heap of radio taiso videos on YouTube, too, so it's easy to source!

Something else I think is fab about these workouts is that they have both a standing and a sitting version. Makes me happy to see inclusion being promoted!


Anyway, if you're like me and feel a bit meh sometimes during winter, I would suggest giving these videos a whirl. They really do make a difference!
