Volunteer-Training Course for Foreigners. Participants Wanted!

It is 2 more years till The 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games. Followed by the “Introductory Course for Volunteers” this February, it will be more of an experimental course this time. At this course, you will learn what you should keep in mind as a volunteer and will be able to obtain volunteer information for The 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.

You will also get a chance to experience volunteering at a sport event or at a workshop for city-tour guide. For more detail: web site (https://www.yokeweb.com/single-post/20180920)

Orientation:

(1) Oct. 20 (Sat) 10:00-13:00

(2) Oct. 24 (Wed) 10:00-13:00 *They offer same content. Choose the date of your preference.

Actual Volunteering Experience:

(A) Workshop for city-tour guide: Oct. 24 (Wed)13:00-17:00

(B) Volunteering at Yokohama Marathon 2018: Oct. 28 (Sun) 9:30-16:00

Location:

Orientation: At the conference room, Yokohama International Organization Center (5 min walk from Minatomirai Stn)

Actual Volunteering Experience: Within City of Yokohama

Eligibility: Those who fulfill all the following conditions: (1) Your mother tongue is other than Japanese (2) You live, work, or go to school in Yokohama (3) Those who are interested in doing volunteer works (4) 18 years old or over (5) Those who can communicate in simple Japanese

Limit

Orientation: 40 people/day

Actual Volunteering Experience:

(A) Workshop for city-tour guide: 30 people *First-come basis

(B) Volunteering at Yokohama Marathon 2018: 50 people *First-come basis

Fee: Free *Participants need to pay their own transportation fee during volunteer activities.
