New Year Celebration in Chinatown
Between February 16 and March 2, Yokohama Chinatown holds various events celebrating the Chinese New Year.
■Five Chinese lions, taking five separate courses, go around different shops and restaurants and perform their dance, praying for prosperity and good harvest for each place.
Date&Time: Feb 16 (Fri) 16:00-20:00
■A parade will be held all around Chinatown to celebrate the New Year.
People will be dressed up in costumes of the emperor and ethnic clothing. The lion dance and dragon dance will also be performed.
