Application for Elderly People’s Public Housing
(1) There will be a lottery held for a place on the primary waiting list to fill vacant apartments for elderly people. There are 4 units in Tsuzuki-ku and Aoba-ku. These units are authorized by the city.
(2) Another such lottery will be held for a place on the primary waiting list to fill vacant apartments for elderly people in Tsurumi-ku Tsurumi Chuo and Totsuka-ku Shinano-cho.
These apartments are designed to provide a safe environment for senior citizens, including emergency call services. *There is no nursing care. *An income-dependent rent subsidy is available.
Eligibility: Those who are living or working in Yokohama and are 60 years old or over at the time of application. They must be Japanese nationals or foreign nationals who have resident cards. *There are other restrictions. Please inquire for more details.
To Apply: An application form is available at the Ward Office Public Relations Section (Koho Sodan Kakari) or Administrative Service Corners.
(1) Entries must be received by July 20.
(2) Entries must be postmarked by July 27.
