TOYKO - Barcelona stalwart Andres Iniesta's negotiations to join J-League first-division side Vissel Kobe are moving forward and his signing will likely be announced next week, multiple sources within the league said Friday.
Vissel are owned by Japanese internet powerhouse Rakuten, which is currently a shirt sponsor of Barcelona. If the 34-year-old midfielder does move to Japan, a press conference is expected next week in Tokyo.
In April, Iniesta announced he would be leaving Barcelona this summer after he completes his 22nd year with the club.
Last year, Vissel acquired former Germany international Lukas Podolski. The club are currently seventh in the J League.
