Supermarket's Tornado Potato

If you have been to a carnival recently, you would have passed by at least one food truck that offers the trendy fried goodie that is the tornado potato. These spiral potato are fried in the same way curly fries are, so they are pre-seasoned with some spice and is presented in a very fun way.

However, they are usually 300 yen, so when I saw it being offered at the local supermarket for 100 yen, I gave it a try.

The cuts are much thicker than you would get at the carnival, which makes it less crispy. However, that was probably the only way it would fit on the tray.

The flavour was great too, but it feels very strange eating this at home. Quitely. Alone.

At the end, the 300 yen premium price is for the festival atmosphere over the food itself.
