BAKE Cheese Tart in Shinjuku

Fans of cheese tarts must know about this shop. Recognized as one of the best, if not THE best cheese tart in Japan, there is always a long line at the shop inside Shinjuku Station.

For about 250yen a tart, there are only two options on the menu: Are you getting 1, or are you getting 6? Of course, you can order any number of tarts though.

I got one to try, and the tart is rather small. However, it is also the CREAMIEST cheese tart I've ever had. The softness balances with the hard tart perfectly.

Being the size it is and super fluffy, it is rather light and I can easily eat 6 right there on the spot. For the taste, it is top notch, but in terms of satisfaction, you will need way more than one.
